The Watch

Every town in Iserra has its own Guard. These guards enforce the law and protect the towns of the county and other villages or settlements within.

All guards wear very similar sets of armour and weaponry - Chain Mail, Helm, Crossbow & Shortsword. Any differences are normally just in the colour of the sash and colour of the undershirt used with under the chain mail shirt.

Generally, the guards and their officers are generally taken from the non-Nobility, though exceptions do occur, especially in large noble families. The guards are generally led by a captain, who reports to the local Nobility in the village, town or city.

Their duty is to uphold peace and order throughout the city and county, as well as ensuring justice is had in the event of a crime. Additionally, they are the last line of defence of their city in the event of assault or invasion.
